Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the path by which adults enter into the life of the Catholic Church. Through prayer, formation, and discernment, participants prepare to receive the sacraments and grow in faith.
Who Is RCIA For?
RCIA is open to adults aged 18 and over who wish to explore or enter the Catholic faith.
It is especially intended for:

Adults who have never been baptised and are seeking full initiation into the Church

Christians baptised in another denomination who now wish to become Catholic

Baptised Catholics who have not yet received First Holy Communion or Confirmation
What to Expect?
RCIA is not only about learning the teachings of the Church, but about a gradual conversion of heart and life.
The journey includes:

Catechesis (learning and understanding the faith)
-
Liturgical rites celebrated within the parish community
-
Spiritual formation and prayer

Integration into the life of the parish
The process normally culminates at the Easter Vigil, when candidates receive the Sacraments of Initiation and are fully welcomed into the Catholic Church.
