First Communion
The Eucharist is the heart of our faith, where we receive the Body and Blood of Christ. As the source and summit of the Christian life, it strengthens us to live in communion with God and with one another.
First Holy Communion Preparation
We warmly welcome families whose children are preparing to receive First Holy Communion. Preparation is open to children in Year 3 or above who have not yet received the sacrament.
Children must be baptised before receiving First Holy Communion. If your child has not yet been baptised, the parish will arrange separate Baptism preparation prior to the Communion programme.
Preparation includes regular catechism sessions and a compulsory parents’ meeting. Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child’s Baptism certificate to the meeting. A small contribution towards materials will be requested.
Important Dates
Details for the next First Holy Communion programme (2026–2027), including registration dates and session times, will be available at the beginning of October 2026.
